Youngling is 4 years old, and we are progressing through "kindergarten" level learning. This blog is basically for my own sake, so I can keep track of the things that we do, things that I would like to do, and a way to reflect on the general happenings of our "school" as things progress.

Youngling's Table Work: Lesson Log 2
Youngling had a longer school session this afternoon, clocking in at about 45 minutes. I had a small stack of papers for her to complete, some of which was just to keep her fresh. For example, she had three fun pages with letter tracing exercises (A-I). She knows how to write the letters, but I would hate for her to forget. lol

Included in the packet, I also wrote out a spelling page for her, along with a page of simple addition. Adding something new, I drew up a shape matching page for her, which was interesting. lol Finally, her large lesson was learning how to spell her full first name. Normally she goes by a nickname, a shortened version of her name. I want her to be able to spell her full name though, and she is doing pretty well. I am sure that with a little work, she should be able to write her full first name in a couple weeks.
